ACV & RCV Calculator

Practice replacement cost, depreciation and deductible calculations with a free educational ACV calculator.

How the example works

In this simplified model, ACV equals replacement cost minus depreciation. Initial net equals ACV minus the deductible, floored at zero. The maximum modeled total net equals replacement cost minus the deductible, floored at zero. The additional amount is the difference between those two net amounts.

With $20,000 replacement cost, $4,000 depreciation and a $1,000 deductible, ACV is $16,000, initial net is $15,000 and modeled total net is $19,000. The modeled additional payment is $4,000.

What this calculator leaves out

Policy limits, sublimits, prior payments, nonrecoverable depreciation, special endorsements, coinsurance and actual repair costs can change a settlement. The calculation assumes all entered depreciation becomes payable and applies one deductible. It does not determine whether that assumption is true.
