Read a sample: Nevada public-adjuster scope and examination

Current authority

Nevada nevada public-adjuster scope and examination begins with the exact actor, authority, line, and task. Who does a Nevada public adjuster represent? The supported answer is The insured named in the policy, solely as to that insured’s financial interests. NRS 684A.030 defines the public-adjuster role by exclusive insured-side representation. Which claims are excluded from Nevada’s public-adjuster definition? The supported answer is Workers’ compensation claims. The public-adjuster definition expressly excludes investigating, negotiating, or settling workers’ compensation claims. Read Chapter 684A together with the current DOI licensing page and the relevant NAC provision. A public adjuster serves the named insured's financial interests, while workers' compensation sits outside that public role. Do not import a contract deadline, fee cap, bond, or catastrophe privilege from another jurisdiction.

Course takeaway: The insured named in the policy, solely as to that insured’s financial interests. Workers’ compensation claims. Life or health coverage and annuities.
