Course access required

This course is consumer education, not public-adjuster licensing or authorization. The Alabama Department of Insurance says Alabama does not license or recognize public adjusters and states that public adjusters representing customers in Alabama must be attorneys. Alabama independent-adjuster authority is insurer-side and is not a substitute. The lessons help insureds understand and document their own property claims, read policies, evaluate estimates, preserve evidence, and use the Department complaint process. They do not authorize a nonlawyer to negotiate or represent an insured for compensation, provide legal advice, or claim an Alabama public-adjuster credential. Use licensed contractors and technical professionals within their fields, and consult a qualified Alabama attorney about representation, deadlines, releases, litigation, or other legal rights.
